Located on a hill in the heart of the Eastern Plain, the Costa Serena, at the crossroads between Bastia, Corte and Porto-Vecchio, Aléria derives most of its resources from intensive fruit and wine growing and tourism. The town is located in the immediate vicinity of the mouth of the Tavignano, Corsica's second river, and the Diane pond, the island's main shellfish center (the Huitres de Diana).
The city of Aléria was founded in the 6th century BC. AD on the eastern coast of Corsica. Its location facing the Latin coast made it the capital of Roman Corsica and a prosperous ancient city, the remains of which today constitute a major archaeological site. Decimated over the centuries by Barbary incursions and malaria, Aléria played a notorious role in the history of Corsica as an episcopal seat in the Middle Ages and then a center of opposition to the Paolists in the 17th century (symbolized by the fort of Matra ). Finally, on August 22, 1975, it was the scene of the events of Aléria, the founding act of contemporary Corsican nationalism.

The cleaning of the layers is carried out on request before 9 am on the day of the cleaning. Towels are available at reception. This is because of the health protocols following the Covid-19 pandemic. The rooms, the common areas and the restaurant are disinfected daily by ozone and hydroalcoholic gel is available. Wearing a mask is compulsory within the establishment. Please respect a minimum distance of one meter and be well.
